Porcelain.
I stretch it, paint it, fold it, going to the limits of its strength, fragility and transparency.
It often leaves me in desperation because of its fragility.
It leaves me breathless with the feeling of happiness to see its fragile intensity.

picaflores

'picaflores' or hummingbirds or 'colibrì';
maybe the spanish name is the nicest: it
shows them going inside a flower
and drinking the nectar
..
these 'picaflores' are made of porcelain with forged silver
as earrings, they fly near the almost-open-flower-necklace.
I made them a while ago; between cups and bowls
I play and try things out with small designs like
these birds (that flew in my chilean garden)
or like the more abstract ribbed 'bronze' shell,
that is a part of the necklace.
