I stretch it, paint it, fold it, going to the limits of its strength, fragility and transparency. It often leaves me in desperation because of its fragility.
It leaves me breathless with the feeling of happiness to see its fragile intensity.
An ancient stone wall with new tiles in a small street in a village just some hundreds of meters above the lake (Lago Maggiore). The Village is called Pieggio and is a 'frazione' of Oggebbio (Verbania). Met dank aan Marco!
This fountain is dedicated to San Zenone, the bishop of Verona who became patron of fishermen. The fountain and tile panel was commissioned by the municipality council of Vermezzo (Mi, Italy) for its fishing pond park.
la vasca rivestita, i pesci attaccati.. grazie a Marco e anche a Giovanni e naturalmente grazie a Franco che chiede tutti i giorni se è tutto prontoe grazie a Anna e a Tino per tutte le loro cure (e per il caffé!)
This Maria was asked for by a neighborhood in Vermezzo (MI - Italy). The tiles are arranged in a small sanctuary on the mainstreet from Vermezzo to Zelo Surrigone. It is of course dedicated to Maria (her name a Maria das Roses and pose was inspired by a statue of a Maria das Rosas in Braga, Portugal, in Italian her name became Rosa Mistica), but she is also dedicated to my mother (to whom she resembles) and to my sister.
